A Cover From Argentina:
Portada de LA REVISTA DEL SUPERHOMBRE en su número extraordinario de marzo 1959, publicado por Muchnik Editores en Buenos Aires, República Argentina. Este ejemplar ha llegado a mis manos procedente de San Luis (Argentina), enviado por mi amigo Juan Masamoto, que sabía que tenía un gran significado para mi.
Las revistas de Superman empezaron a llegar a España a principios de los años 50 procedentes de la Editorial Novaro de México. Eran, en aquella época, reproducciones bastante fieles de los originales americanos, con todas las páginas en color, formato vertical y con el logo SUPERMAN en portada. Por eso cuando este ejemplar llegó a mis manos a través de un cambio que hice con un amigo, resultó ser toda una curiosidad editorial pues era apaisado, las historias estaban todas en blanco y negro y ponía en portada SUPERHOMBRE.
A lo largo de los años, habiendo perdido el comic, siempre lo guardé en mi memoria y habiendo comentado con Juan Masamoto (que tiene una gran colección de Superman, tanto de Novaro como de Muchnik) el episodio de mi niñez en el que recordaba haber tenido este ejemplar, le di la pista de que se reproducía la primera aventura de Brainiac (Action Comics 242 de 1958, Novaro 211 de 1959) y por fin pudo localizarlo y ha vuelto a mi después de casi 40 años.

LA REVISTA DEL SUPERHOMBRE cover in the March 1959 extraordinary issue, published by Muchnik Editores in Buenos Aires, Republic Argentina. This issue has come to my hands from San Luis (Argentina) sent by my friend Juan Masamoto, who knew the meaning of this comic to me.
The Superman comics began to arrive to Spain at the begining of the 50's from the Mexican Editorial Novaro. They were in that age, a very truthful versions of the American issues, with full color in the pages, vertical format and the SUPERMAN logo on the cover. When this issue arrived to my hands through a change with a friend, it became a curious edition because it was horizontal, the adventures were in black and white and the logo was in Spanish: SUPERHOMBRE.
Along the years, having lost the comic, I always kept it in my memory and having told to Juan Masamoto (who has a great Superman collection both in Novaro and Muchnik Editores) the episode of my childhood in where I remembered this issue, gave him the trail when I told him that it contained the first appearance of Brainiac (ACTION COMICS NO.242, 1958 and Novaro 211, 1959) and finally he could find it and has come back to me after almost 40 years.
