Superboy No.3 inspired Superboy No.18

We Present here two Superboy related covers. The first one is from SUPERBOY NO.3 JULY-AUG 1949, image from the Kipp Teague's wonderfull page Superboy Gallery showing Superboy covers from the begining. In the second one, SUPERBOY NO.18 FEB-MARCH 1952 from my own collection, you can see the same leit motiv: Superboy with his foster parents Jonathan and Martha Kent, sitting in their garden. Observe that the words they are saying are almost the same: in number three is Martha who says "... that's our boy" and Jonathan says: "No, ma, that's our Superboy" and in number 18, is Jonathan who says: "... that's our boy" and Martha who says: "No, pa, that's our Superboy!". In SUPERBOY NO.3 the Boy of Steel is trimming the hedges and in number 18 Superboy is painting the fence. Definetively they are two related covers and number 18 is inspired in number 3. La primera es del SUPERBOY NO.3 Julio-Agosto 1949, imagen procedente de la maravillosa página de Kipp Teague Superboy Gallery que muestra las portadas de Superboy desde el principio. En la segunda, SUPERBOY NO.18 Febrero-Marzo 1952 de mi propia colección, podemos ver que el motivo principal es el mismo: Superboy con sus padres adoptivos Jonathan y Martha Kent, sentados en su jardín. Observad que las palabras que dicen son casi las mismas: en el número 3 es Martha quien dice "... este es nuestro chico" y Jonathan dice: "No, ma, este es nuestro Superchico" y en el número 18, es Jonathan quien dice: "... este es nuetro chico" y Martha quien dice: "No, pa, este es nuestro Superchico". En SUPERBOY NO.3 el Chico de Acero está arreglando el seto y en el número 18 Superboy está pintando la valla.
