SUPERMAN NO.60 (SEP/OCT 1949)

Presentamos dos portadas separadas en el tiempo por 1 año. La primera de septiembre/octubre de 1949 y la segunda de los mismos meses pero un año después, 1950. Las dos son de la National Periodical Publications, Inc. (ahora DC Comics) y se relacionan, como es evidente, porque las dos tiene como motivo principal a Superman jugando al beisbol. Los dos son ejemplares de 52 páginas con tres aventuras del Hombre de Acero. En ambos ejemplares, las portadas no están relacionadas con las aventuras que se publican en el interiormos. Podemos ver a la izquierda la 'splash page' de la primera aventura del SUPERMAN NO.60 titulada 'Las dos identidades de Superman'. La segunda se titula 'Los hombres que protegían a Superman' (publicada de nuevo en un formato mayor en la colección LIMITED COLLECTORS' EDITION C-31 de octubre-noviembre 1974) y la tercera, 'Superman lucha contra Super-Cerebro' (alias El Juguetero). A la derecha podemos ver la 'splash page' de la primera aventura del SUPERMAN NO.66 titulada 'El bebé de acero' (luchando contra El Bromista), que va seguida de 'Los últimos días de Superman' y 'La máquina de escribir que hizo de Cupido'.
We present two covers separated in time 1 year. The first one from Sept/Oct 1949 the second one from the same months but one year later, 1950. Both are published by National Periodical Publications, Inc. (now DC Comics) and are related obviously because both are presenting Superman playing baseball. Both are 52 pages issues with three Man of Steel adventures inside. The covers are not related with the inside adventures. We can see at the left, the splash page of the first adventure in SUPERMAN NO.60 entitles 'The Two Identities of Superman!'. The second one is entitled ''The Men Who had to Guard Superman!' (reprinted in LIMITED COLLECTORS' EDITION October-November 1974) and the third one, 'Superman Figths the Super-Brain (aka The Toyman). To the right, we can see the splash page of the first adventure in SUPERMAN NO.66 entitled 'The Babe of Steel' (fighting agains The Prankster) that are followed by 'The Last Days of Superman!' and 'The Machine That Played Cupid!'.
